How  to use Arp-spoof in Kali Linux

Requirements:

  • You and your target are in the same network.

How to use Arp-spoof in Kali Linux

Arp-spoof is an attack that keeps you in Man in the Middle of the connection. To be Man in the Middle of the connection you need to spoof both target and gateway.

Spoofing Target:

  • Open terminal.

  •  Type the below-highlighted command.

arpspoof -i (interface you are using) -t (targetip) (gatewayip)

  •  The command should be like the below picture.


  • And hit enter that should be like the below picture.



  • Keep it running and Do you want to stop the process (In case of emergency)click CTRL + C.

 Spoofing Gateway:

  •  Open another Terminal.

  •  Type the below-highlighted command.

  arpspoof -i (interface you are using) -t (gatewayip) (targetip)

  •  The command should be like the below picture.


  • And hit enter that should be like the below picture. 


Now you are in Man in the Middle of the connection.

Briefing:

  • -i = interface like eth0, wlan0 etc..

  • -t = target and gateway IP separated with space.

Note : (You need to remember this) About Interface.

  • You and the target must be on the same network.

  • If you are connected to the wifi type eth0 or connected to the wired network type wlan0 after -i.

  • If you don't know which network you are using type the below-highlighted command. 

ifconfig

  • And hit enter that should like the below picture.


  • If you are connected to the wifi it shows eth0 and the wired network it shows wlan0.

  • lo is the kali's IP.

Note : (You need to remember this) About IP.

  • You need to know your target's IP manually or if you want to know your target's IP without touching the device I have the script called Network Scanner as soon as I'll try post link here.

  • If you want to know your router's IP type the below-highlited command. 

route -n

  •  And hit enter that should be like the below picture.

  • There you can see the IP of a gateway.
